Another cotillion dance...looking good!

...Cate and mom painted the posts red and then a tire was hung for football throws!

Dad and Barrow worked in the backyard. They made 2 holes for posts...

Barrow really improved on his skills during the season.

Sierra 7th grade basketball.  Barrow was #23.

We enjoyed a delicious meal in the historic El Tovar restaurant.

...then toured the South Rim and the Visitor's Center.

Back to the South Rim, we parked our mules...

It was great to have the warm sun come out!

We had a totally different view going out of the canyon.

We loaded the mules and headed up the South Kaibab trail.

January 2nd. Breakfast at the dining hall before heading out.

It was good to be back at the cabin after hiking 12 miles round trip!

Barrow still wanted to hike at the end, but we wrestled with him to stay at camp!

We hiked to the top of the falls after having a picnic lunch.

We walked through a grassy meadow...

Following along the river, we crossed several bridges.

We had all day to enjoy hiking through the canyon.

January 1st 2016, we were up early for breakfast, then headed down the North Kaibab trail towards the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
